As part of my coursework at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the undergraduate Art Education Department, I am placed in Chicago Public Schools to meet the requirements for licensure for the Illinois State Board of Education. My student teaching enables me to collaborate with two mentor teachers, in an elementary and a high school, who help me navigate lesson planning, classroom management, and hands-on experience in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade classrooms.
